Description: Jan Dunn was a potter, ceramicist and teacher who worked from her home studio in Canberra. Her papers and four vases were donated by her estate to the Gallery’s archives and collection in 2003. The papers comprise fourteen sketchbooks spanning 1978 to 1994, Dunn’s CV and the 1995 Directory of Accredited Professional Members, Crafts Council of the ACT. Included are drafts of her work, designs for kilns, vases, platters, and bowls. Also included are notes, newspaper clippings, recipes for pots and glazes, tests, results with firing, lustre, colouring, and reductions.
